The Princess Nation of the Blackland Prairie Federation

Friends Always!

From baby shoes to the first grade to high school graduation:  It seems like forever, but it goes by so fast.

Know that little 7 or 8 year old of yours?

Just 10 years from now, he or she will be off to college or a new job, starting a life of his or her own.

The dads in the YMCA of Arlington Father/Child Program have discovered an innovative program that allows them to spend quality time with their kids during those growing up years.

Some Activities are:

  • Campouts
  • Pinewood Derby
  • Rocket Shoot
  • Daddy/Daughter Date Night

John Gause has been involved in the program for 13 years with each of his three daughters, Jacqueline, Stephanie, and Christina.  Gause said it's hard to pick a favorite memory from the rock climbing, camping, canoe trips, but one thing is certain. "I wouldn't trade the time I got to spend with my kids for anything."

The Blackland Prairie Princess Nation has members from:  Arlington, Cedar Hill, Dalworthington Gardens, Kennedale, Mansfield, Pantego, Southwest Fort Worth and surrounding areas.  We are open to all fathers seeking a deeper relationship with their their daughters and fellowship with others.  For information on the Y's other Father/Child programs, please visit the Arlington YMCA website.
